Eleanor is retired from a long career as an educator. While living and working in the Washington, DC area, she spent weekends painting in oils and acrylics. Eventually, she decided to try watercolor and enrolled in watercolor courses at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia. She was quickly hooked.

Eleanor and her husband Roger now live on a farm in western Tennessee where she paints every day. Her subjects are mostly drawn from the people, objects, animals and buildings in her rural environment. Her watercolors reflect the beauty she sees in the things we observe daily but often overlook. Eleanor’s paintings have been shown in many Regional, National and International Exhibitions.
